About Me

Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.

Storytelling is deeply rooted in who I am and how I interact with the world. I bring 18 years of filmmaking and podcasting experience and a fierce desire to fashion the best story possible to all of my corporate, commercial, and documentary work.

I have been employed as an editor or cinematographer in all manner of work, including documentary, narrative features, local and national commercials, corporate video & events, and even reality television (please don't tell anyone!).

I have also been fortunate enough to have traveled and done this work all over the world - 20 countries and counting!

The people I have met along the way - and their customs and cultures - have deeply impacted me, in both my personal and professional life. And I strive to bring humility and gratitude to all of my work.

I am also a podcast producer, having recently completed a five year journey (140 episodes!) on The Documentary Life, one of the most successful podcasts in the world dedicated to the craft of documentary filmmaking.

Outside of these things, I can usually be found curating some kind of mixed tape for a friend (yes! analogue lives!), watching a hockey game, or with my kids seated on small plastic red chairs in some tiny shack somewhere in the world eating noodles and sipping from coconuts.

I am also a devout meditator who tries really really hard to practice the Noble Eightfold Path of the Buddha. And mostly fails at it. But that's okay. Because it's in the recognition of said failure that I can pick myself back up and ... try again.
